Provides foundational knowledge and practical skills in biomedical electrical safety testing of medical devices to AS/NZS 3551. Covers patient safety, relevant legislation, and standards, and includes the theory and practice of biomedical electrical safety testing to AS/NZS 3551.

- Apply safety principles in clinical and technical environments.
- Understand AS/NZS 3551 and its application to medical devices.
- Perform electrical safety testing using biomedical test equipment.
