Covers the relevant documentation, physiology, engineering design, theory of operation, clinical application, performance verification and corrective maintenance requirements for cardiovascular equipment including:
- Electrocardiographs (ECG’s) – 3, 5 & 12-lead ECGs for diagnostic & patient monitoring applications
- Defibrillators, both manual and Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s)
- External pacemakers
- Invasive & Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring (IBP & NIBP)
- Pulse oximetry and blood oxygen saturation monitoring (SaO2 / SpO2)
- Patient Monitors and Cardiac output monitoring.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Understand device operation and clinical application of relevant equipment.
- Be competent to performance verify and maintain relevant equipment.
- Apply appropriate safety and medical equipment servicing standards.
Course duration: 2 days (16 hours) face-to-face with e-learning (≈ 8 hours).
