Course Details

This course equips participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills to service and maintain ventilation equipment used in healthcare environments. Key topics include:

  • Health and safety protocols, organisational and workshop procedures
  • Respiratory physiology
  • Theory and hands-on training in the use of test equipment for performance verification
  • Basic maintenance & repair techniques

Participants will gain expertise in servicing and maintaining:

  • ICU and transport ventilators
  • CPAP and BiPAP machines
  • Ancillary ventilator components

Upon completion, learners will understand ventilation principles, patient and circuit compliance, device design and operation, and performance verification standards. The course also covers fault-finding techniques and effective use of test equipment in accordance with current standards.
