Covers the relevant documentation and physiology, engineering design, theory of operation and clinical application, and the performance verification and corrective maintenance requirements for the following operating theatre & surgical devices including:
- Electro-surgical units (ESUs),
- Endoscopy systems including rigid and flexible scopes,
- Nerve stimulators,
- Operating tables,
- Patient warmers,
- Electrical tourniquet systems, Sequential Compression Devices (SCD’s),
- Blood warmers and pressure infusers.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Verify performance and conduct basic maintenance of operating theatre & surgical equipment.
- Apply fault-finding techniques and maintenance protocols.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
Course duration: 2 days (16 hours) face-to-face with e-learning (≈ 8 hours).
